Cheryl Boyer '87 is the new president of the Cornell Hotel Society for 2017. Boyer will lead the executive board of CHS, the 88-year-old alumni association that represents SHA graduates in more than 53 active chapters worldwide. Boyer's twelve-month term as president began January 1. Read more »

Richard Haskin Penner '69, MArch '72, professor emeritus of finance, accounting, and real estate, died December 11 in New Paltz, New York. He was 70. Penner taught hotel planning and design at SHA from 1970 until his retirement in 2012. Read more »

The SHA team won the first-ever Park Inn by Radisson INNovation Room competition, which pitted them against teams from nine other international hospitality schools in an effort to review and critique the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group's Park Inn by Radisson brand.
The students on the winning team all receive internship opportunities with Carlson Rezidor. Read more »
