SHA was saddened to report the recent loss of two members of our community.
As a visiting assistant professor at SHA, Michael LaTour was editor of the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, a position he retained when he became a professor at Ithaca College in 2015. He was also the husband of associate professor Kathryn LaTour, with whom he collaborated on award-winning research.
Mark Talbert '89, MPS '92 was a senior lecturer at SHA. An alumnus of both the undergraduate and MPS programs, Talbert was a true Hotelie with a longtime affiliation with the school. He was teaching several classes this semester.
LaTour's obituary was published in the Ithaca Journal. Talbert's obituary was published in the Cornell Chronicle.
