$10 million gift endows SHA deanship
Bradley H. Stone '77, president and partner in Gaming Asset Management, LLC, has committed a $10 million gift to endow and name the SHA deanship.
Stone has maintained a strong connection to the school through generous support of students, staff, and faculty, including establishment of the Stone Family Faculty Renewal Fellowship and the Bradley Stone '77 Scholarship.
Additionally, Stone has served on the Dean's Advisory Board and the Cornell University Council. He has returned to campus as a Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series (DDLS) speaker, and as a keynote speaker at the student-run conference, Hotel Ezra Cornell. Read More

AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) has granted inaugural, unit-level accreditation to SHA.

Register for free Global Hospitality Management MOOC
Starting February 4, SHA will offer a free MOOC (massive open online course) titled Introduction to Global Hospitality Management.
Led by SHA professors Bill Carroll, Jan deRoos, Cathy Enz, and Bruce Tracey, the MOOC is intended for anyone in the industry seeking to advance, as well as individuals who are interested but who don’t know much about the industry.
It’s also appropriate for use as an employee-development tool within hospitality industry companies. Read More

SHA and CEIBS to collaboratively offer dual MMH-MBA degree
SHA has formalized a collaboration with the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai to offer a dual Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program.
Students can complete this program over the course of two years, the MMH degree at Cornell and the MBA degree at CEIBS. Students will begin the program at either CEIBS or Cornell, spending their second years at the alternate campus. Read More

SHA presents 2014 Cornell Hospitality Research Summit
The 3rd biennial Cornell Hospitality Research Summit (CHRS) took place from October 12-14 at SHA.
As the premier event of its kind, CHRS brings together industry and academe in a forum that promotes open dialogue aimed at developing and applying new knowledge for and to the hospitality and tourism industry.
SHA professors Cathy Enz and Rohit Verma chaired the event, which offered numerous sessions of varying format, organized into four tracks: data, people, technology, and organization. Read More

Student teams innovate in 2014 Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition
Now in its sixth year, the Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition has become a crucible for students interested in a real estate career.
In the most recent edition, the competition brought a total of sixteen teams of six students each from four continents to New York City to prepare an analysis and presentation regarding an actual commercial real estate transaction—and do it all in just five days. Read More
