Gussing Burgess appointed new Cornell Hotel Society president
In January, Liv Gussing Burgess ’91 began a 12-month term as president of the Cornell Hotel Society (CHS), the 84-year-old alumni association that represents 13,000 SHA graduates in 56 active chapters worldwide.

Cornell International Summit to feature experts in hospitality, real estate, architecture, and urban planning
At the Cornell International Summit: Hospitality, Real Estate, and the Built Environment, industry leaders and academics will discuss innovation and growth in China’s commercial real estate market. The summit will be held Saturday, April 20, at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund and is co-presented by the SHA, College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, and Center for Real Estate and Finance.
