| Alumni elect Bill McAleer ’73, MBA ’75 to join Cornell Board of Trustees
Hotelie Bill McAleer ’73, MBA ’75 is one of
two recently named alumni-elected trustees, selected by a
record-breaking 27,685 alumni voters. McAleer is cofounder and managing
director of Voyager Capital. His term as trustee will begin on July 1. Read more.

| Indian food kiosk concept wins Cornell Hospitality Business Plan Competition
The DC Factory won the $15,000 first-place prize in the Cornell Hospitality Business Plan Competition, held annually by the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship. Created by Anukul Chandhok '12 and Vijay Sundar '12, the DC Factory is a collection of food kiosks based in New Delhi metro stations. Read more.

| Student researchers named CHR Emerging Scholars
As part of its mission to encourage student
research, the Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) offers an annual
Emerging Scholar Award that includes a total of $3,500 in cash prizes.
Three students were named as winners of this year's Emerging Scholar
