SHA participates in spring hospitality and travel conferences
Faculty, staff, and students will share research and connect with alumni and other industry leaders this spring at the Multi-Unit Franchising Conference, the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show, and Ataway Exchange. In addition, the Chicago chapter of the Cornell Hotel Society will host its Annual Scholarship Reception on May 7 in conjunction with the NRA Show. Read more.

MMH student takes home grand prize at Microsoft competition
Armed with an innovative spirit and strong teamwork skills, Thao Ly Bui Tran, MMH '12 flew to Redmond, Washington in early March to compete in the final round of the 2012 Firenze|BXT Student Innovation Competition. And she walked away with the grand prize. Read more.

Registration opens for the Cornell Hospitality Research Summit
Top-level panels will headline the second Cornell Hospitality Research Summit, produced by the Center for Hospitality Research (CHR), October 8 and 9. Registration will open in early April for the conference, which will focus on “Service Excellence and Performance Growth in the Global Hospitality Industry: Strategies and Approaches for Navigating Forward.” Read more.

Visiting scholars bring new ideas and energy to the Center for Hospitality Research
A group of visiting scholars have brought an international flair to the Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) during this academic year, both in terms of academic scholarship and cultural enrichment.
