Minor in Real Estate continues to grow
Congratulations to the ninth graduating class of students in the undergraduate minor in real estate. There were 118 students in this year’s class. Students in the minor, which is open to all students at Cornell University, represent the College of Architecture, Art and Planning; the College of Arts and Sciences; the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the School of Hotel Administration; and the College of Human Ecology. The graduate minor in real estate program saw 25 students complete the minor this year. Both the undergraduate and graduate minors are facilitated out of the School of Hotel Administration.
New Hotel Real Estate Certificate from Cornell Hotel School
Cornell Hotel School faculty expert Jan deRoos has developed a new Hotel Real Estate certificate, available online throughout the world through eCornell. Participants will learn essential financial and operational aspects of hotel asset and real estate investment management, including how to estimate the value of a hotel, structure and evaluate investment and franchise agreements, create asset management plans for a property’s long-term needs, and more.
